The house of PAULE KA represents a contemporary vision of classic Parisian elegance : bon-ton, feminine and irreverent

 


For its new Spring-Summer 2016 advertising campaign, PAULE KA gives the visionary photographer Miles Aldridge the task of interpreting this “ couture-chic ” that the house stands for.

Alithia Spuri-Zampetti, the new creative director of PAULE KA and Miles Aldridge were inspired by the bold colours and cubist forms of the paintings of Richard Lindner and by the more poetic portraits of Matisse. The result is a sequence of four scenographic compositions, a mix of Pop Art and ‘50s French Riviera, that reveal the story of this season’s Paule Ka woman, a role played with elegance by the French/Canadian model Anais Pouliot.

Miles Aldridge is one of the few photogrphers today who still works with film as opposed to digital, and his Polaroids are considered works of art. For this first collaboration, PAULE KA and Aldridge have also created a special edition of collectible Polaroids that pay tribute to this dying technique.

ABOUT MILES ALDRIDGE
Miles Aldridge is one of fashion’s greatest photographers and is known for his unique use of colour. He has worked for Italian and Japanese Vogue, Numéro, Gloss, V, Citizen K, GQ, Harper’s Bazaar and The New York Times Magazine. He has also collaborated with designers like Karl Lagerfeld, Giorgio Armani, Yves Saint Laurent and Paul Smith as well as top brands such as Longchamp, MAC Cosmetics, Sergio Rossi, Carolina Herrera, Lavazza and Mercedes E-Class.
