BOSS Selection is synonymous with luxury tailored apparel and sophisticated sportswear. The collection for Spring 2013 focuses on sportiness, presenting interpretations of traditional classics with a fresh, new flair. Exceptional craftsmanship is key in every look, with details to the fore. Suits and jackets are perfection personified in the finest Italian fabrics, mother-of-pearl buttonry and exquisite linings.
The BOSS Selection Collection draws its inspiration from the “Mille Miglia,” an historic thousand-mile classic car race through Italy.
The luxury tour starts with “Roma Chic,” recalling a well-dressed Italian at the Piazza Navona in Rome, dressed in a burgundy-hued four-button double-breaster. A striped shirt with a white collar and light gray chinos complete the ensemble. In another typically Roman look, a navy blue suit with fine pinstripes meets a check shirt with a matching handkerchief square and penny loafers.
The “Modena Tradition” theme was inspired by the Italian city with its rich legacy of poise and elegance. One highlight look is a beige cotton suit with a check shirt and coordinated knit tie, paired with a slim trench and Chelsea boots. A further impactful option is the blouson in toffee-colored suede worn with ostrich leather moccasins.
In “Rimini Feeling,” maritime flair enhances the statement, impeccably embodied in modern club blazers that sport burnished gold buttons. The palette plays with light shades of blue and gray; flash red is reserved for accents. The key look is a navy suit with a fine-line red pinstripe.
