Collection Sortilège de Cartier

SEVENTY UNIQUE CREATIONS AND AN UTTERLY NEW JEWELLERY THEME: FRAGRANCE, EXPLORED THROUGH ITS VARIOUS OLFACTORY FAMILIES, IS THE KEY CREATIVE IMPULSE.

This is the story of how a collection was born. It all began by looking at stones and searching for inspiration, listening to the feelings they evoked and the senses they awakened with their touch. They have a colour, often subtle, a density, an intensity, an attraction. They play with the light. They fascinate. They enchant, even mesmerise. But more than that… It is inexpressible. How to put a feeling, an emotion into words? Stones have a language beyond words – like a perfume. But more than that… This association of ideas gave birth to a collection, a tribute to femininity through a journey into the universe of fragrance. A woman's fragrance. Starting from this idea, from the enchantment of the senses, the collection began to build an atmosphere of perfume around stones. Cartier has used several olfactory families to enhance its unique creations:

Fougères
The fougères fragrances exhale their scent of thick ferns in the damp undergrowth.

The deep emeralds are lit by flashes
of sparkling diamonds, like crinkled fronds
releasing their scent.
We can easily imagine that the power and density of this deep,
captivating fragrance come from aquatic plants…
Two snakes weave their way through the damp vegetation of sapphires
and emeralds, enriched by the forbidden fruit of rubies…

Heady scents
A voluptuous fragrance with delightful chypre notes of patchouli, amber and mixed spices.

A sensual evocation of morganites, spinels and coral
that invite us to an exotic world
of hot, intoxicating colours.
The creations develop in the moist heat
and soft light of the setting sun. They evoke gentleness,
reassurance and protection…

White flowers, queens of perfumery
The white flowers, such as tuberose and jasmine, stand out from other blooms in the same way that a diamond is distinguished by its grandeur.

“Impossible” blooms, like lily-of-the-valley and honeysuckle
which refuse to yield their essence,
form creations of great purity.
A supremely elitist perfume that breathes life
into the pure sophistication of a simple design.
The diamond in all its grandeur has found a fragrance for all eternity…
