Womenswear - Fall/Winter 2011

The HUGO brand offers innovative looks for men and women with a fresh, positive outlook. This is once again evidenced in Fall/Winter 2011, which combines classic tailoring excellence with creative detailing and directional styling. In the current collection, metropolitan lifestyle meets the creative drive of the visual arts. "Artistic Tailoring" headlines the new looks, for which HUGO Creative Director Eyan Allen drew inspiration from the urban and underground art scenes.

The look is disciplined rather than free-form, and extends from clean, reduced wool dresses to a young, deluxe evening look in which glamorous shimmering fabrics meet beautiful draping, rich fur detailing and unusual material mixes. Outerwear highlights include a fur coat and a wool/cashmere model, both featuring contrasting leather sleeves. On the whole, leather plays a pivotal role in the collection, figuring in combinations with other materials and solo in skirts and coats. Stretch wool flannel is the core fabric for classic blazers and suits, while silk satin is the choice for dresses and blouses. The collection also stars two spectacular prints: a black/white dandelion and a fascinating floral in glowing red on a black base.
The key colors black, white, navy blue, gray and camel are very restrained; HUGO red is used for accents.

A full selection of accessories complements the clothing. A bag series consisting of a clutch, shoulder bag and tote is available in monochrome black and in a mix of black and beige leather. They pair with leather or suede footwear in a variety of styles from pumps through ankle boots to sexy over-the-knee styles.
